Diagnostic
Monitoring
Diagnostic monitoring is done when a client requests to know why
their LAN or WAN is not working properly, or when they just
want to know how their resources are being used. The diagnostic
monitoring is a one-time
test done at an hourly rate, where the technician connects
the NetReality device or EG device and takes data down. Once
the data is collected, the
technicians do an analysis and present the problems to you.
Comprehensive
Monitoring Comprehensive monitoring is done when a company is a member
of the ASP. We can monitor your network activity from the
ASP and make sure when you spike your
bandwidth on your internet line, you’ll know about it, and know what
caused it. Real time monitoring and statistics keep us ahead of any potential
problems.
NetReality is an industry leader in WAN monitoring and it enables you to
monitor, and shape your WAN as you see fit. The shaping feature allows you
to configure
usage of the internet pipe that you use. We shape networks with NetReality
by configuring the device to give more critical programs the necessary bandwidth
they need to perform while allotting out bandwidth according to how much
those critical programs are using. This technique allows your company to
operate
without
paying for an exorbitant amount of bandwidth for unimportant applications.
How does my
network get monitored?
Monitoring of your LAN is done through EG. EG acts like NetReality,
except for a LAN. It can monitor and it can shape how resources
are diverted. EG
not only
measures the network’s traffic, it examines the servers on that
network and record what their cpu utilization is, as well as application
monitoring
on the network. Inside a LAN, there is almost no limit to its uses.
