Description:
A Richmond, Virginia based technology consulting and integration firm is in the process of expanding its Performance Management practice. This practice focuses on network and application performance optimization and offers solutions for network and systems capacity planning, "wellness" analysis, trending, modeling, load generation, service level management, and network usage-based billing.

Senior Consultants in the Performance Management Practice provide technical leadership and project management. They act as primary technical client contacts and have the ability to interact at the highest technical level. Successful candidates will have full life-cycle engineering experience in a consulting services organization.

Additional desired experience will include:

		5 plus years experience providing high-end technology solutions and leadership
		Strong problem solving and resolution skills
		Network baselining, capacity planning, network modeling
		Application network review, network usage, acute performance problem diagnosis
		Ability to teach and mentor consultants
		Resource management in a consulting team environment
		On-site account management and pre-sales activity
		Ability to produce high level documentation and presentations

Prerequisites:

		Network Management Systems experience (OpenView, Tivoli, Spectrum, etc.)
		Performance and stress testing tools experience (Mercury, Optimal/Compuware, Sniffer, Concord, Rational, etc.)
		In-depth knowledge of network protocols
		Analytical problem solving and statistical analysis
		RMON Probes
		Operating Systems: Solaris, HP-UX, IBM AIX and Windows NT/200
